Not sure what "wagering requirement" or "rollover" means? Here's a plain-English guide to the bonus jargon you'll encounter at any Malaysian online casino.
💡 Wagering Requirement / Rollover
This is the number of times you must bet your bonus amount before you can make a withdrawal. If a bonus says X10, you must wager the bonus 10 times before cashing out. A higher multiplier (e.g., X35) means you need to play more before withdrawing.
Example: You receive an RM100 bonus with a 10x rollover. You must place bets totalling RM1,000 before the bonus converts to withdrawable funds.
🚫 Maximum Bet During Bonus
Most bonuses come with a maximum bet limit while your bonus funds are active. Exceeding this limit can void your bonus and any winnings derived from it. Always check this before spinning.
Example: A bonus may cap your maximum bet at RM250 per round. Placing RM300 with bonus funds active risks bonus forfeiture.
🎮 Game Contribution
Not all games count equally toward clearing your wagering requirement. Slots typically contribute 100%, while table games like baccarat and roulette often contribute only 10%–20%. Check the promotion terms for a full contribution table.
Example: RM100 wagered on slots = RM100 toward your rollover. RM100 wagered on baccarat = only RM10–RM20 toward your rollover.
⏱️ Bonus Expiry
Bonuses come with an expiry window — typically 7, 14, or 30 days from the date of claim. If you do not complete the wagering requirement within that window, the bonus and any associated winnings are forfeited automatically.
Example: A 14-day bonus claimed on the 1st expires on the 14th at 23:59 server time. Uncompleted rollovers are zeroed out at that point.
🔒 Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky (or locked) bonus cannot be withdrawn — only the winnings it generates can be cashed out once wagering is complete. A non-sticky bonus can be withdrawn together with winnings once you meet the rollover requirements.
Example: You have a RM100 sticky bonus and win RM350 total. After meeting the rollover, you can withdraw RM250 (winnings minus sticky bonus principal), not RM350.
💸 Maximum Cash-out
Some bonuses cap the maximum amount you can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings. Even if you win RM5,000 with a bonus, the max cash-out might be limited to RM500. This is most common on free-spin or no-deposit bonuses.
Example: A RM50 free-spin bonus has a max cash-out of RM200. If your spins generate RM800 in winnings, you can only withdraw RM200.
